I am Thankful for...

Today I am thankful for my sweet princess girl, Miss Kendally Bendally Boo! We would be lost without a little girl in our lives. She came into the world 2 minutes after the day she was suppose to be born, we knew we were in trouble then. We never knew how many babies one girl needs, or that the love of shoes starts at such an early age. Kendall is our little mommy. She tells (bosses) all of her brothers around whether it be to do your homework, pick up toys, etc. She makes my job easy! She is our ray of sunshine, she loves baby dolls, cooking, dancing to music, watching Elmo, and going to church. If you ask her what her favorite story in the bible is ..its always baby Moses, what else. She has her daddy pretty much figured out and can get away with a lot with her bright blue eyes, and beautiful smile. Kendall & Daddy love to go on dates to the coffee house. She likes her toe nails painted, her hair in a pony tail, and pink crocs, which are never on the right feet. She is stubborn, and will "Do it myselfs" till she gets it done. She is all girl, but can hang with the boys. We love our Kendall Bendall, and are for thankful for the blessing that she is in our lives. I love you Kendall.

Today I am Thankful for......

Today I am thankful for my miracle baby Kylor. There are no words to describe Kylor Bylor fully. He makes us laugh till our sides hurt, especially when he crosses his eyes. He has a strong will that I hope will never be broken. He loves his siblings, and daddy & mommy. He is an artist, and can draw, cut or paint a masterpiece in minutes. He works hard at whatever he does, and very smart in science. He loves all things living, and can tell you about any dinosaur, bug, animal, ANYTHING! He is 110% boy, and loves to throw rocks, play in the dirt, be outside, and if we would let him shoot everything in sight. He climbs trees, and always has skinned knees. He loves Jesus, and says the sweetest prayers at dinner. We are so blessed to have Kylor in our lives, as a son & little/big brother. I am proud to be your mama Kylor!

I am thankful for...

I am a little behind on these posts, but today I am thankful for My first born son. Kaden made me a mom, and I am so thankful for him. He is such a sweet boy, and has a sweet heart. He loves his brothers, and sister, and is always concerned for their safety. He is the first to get up and help his brothers when they are in trouble. He greets me every morning with cold feet as he crawls in bed with me and says "good morning mama." I love the fact that he never leaves the house without giving me a kiss. He has the sloppiest kiss out of all the kiddos, but that's alright. He is so smart and excels at school, loves to read, loves to learn about God, and knows Jesus as his personal Lord & Savior. He loves to run, loves baseball, He doesn't like crickets either. He says he likes broccoli, just not the way I cook it, so I have yet to see him actually eat it. He is a planner, and likes to have the next 5 meals planned out, as well as what we will be doing for the next 3 weeks. His parties are planned for the next 2 years. We are so blessed to have Kaden Baden in our lives, and his siblings are so blessed to have a wonderful big brother like him!
I am so proud to be your mama Kaden!

Today I am Thankful for.....

I love love love coupons, and the fact that I can save money and get my family fed, and clothed etc. all within our budget makes me so thankful that God continues to meet our daily needs, in so many creative ways. Today Kevin and I went to Target, I had some coupons to use. Our total was $90. + dollars, then with coupons the total came out to $23. Mr Potato heads will make cute Angel Tree gifts, and UP & Monsters Inc. for Christmas presents. We did splurge on the Tazo teas, it is our weakness..... Pop tarts and light bulbs were free, wipes were 29 cents each, potato heads were 99 cents each, and the movies came out to $10.94 for both of them, teas were splurged at $3.50 and the batteries were $2.00 (Kylor got a new toy for his birthday that needed these). It is so fun to see how far we can stretch our budget. Once again I am so thankful that God provides......(and coupons too)

So I didn't make the list, but.......

Kylor came home today with his "Thankful Turkey" that he made in school today. I quickly glanced over the list and did not see my name, I quickly rationalized that "mother" has too many syllables since most of the words he had were 1 syllable - i.e. bed, toy, food, etc... I know mom is one syllable but mother was so much easier to rationalize. So enough about my sob story, I continued to read the feathers carefully and my heart burst open with joy and pride...the 5th feather over says that he is thankful for my GOD...yahoo! He really gets it. So I told him how proud I was of his turkey and he said....."I wanted to put you and daddy on, but I ran out of room, so you can just be with the bearded dragon feather..." That's my boy! Love him!
P.S. isn't the little hand stealing my props too cute????

Today I am Thankful for......

Thanksgiving is fast approaching and I was thinking of all that God has blessed our family & myself with and how I am so thankful to Him, so I thought I would take the opportunity to list some of those things for which I am so thankful!
.....Today I am thankful for my super wonderful hottie of a husband. He is such a special gift from God, and I am so blessed to have him in my life. 12 years and 5 kids later, and I am more in love with him now than ever before!

Happy 7th Birthday Kylor

Our Kylor Bylor is now 7! What a big boy he is now. I always feel like turning 7 is when they go from a little kid to a big boy, how sad is that, now I have 2 big boys in the house!
We had a wonderful time celebrating Kylor's birthday, we started on Friday by taking him McDonald's to school for lunch. It is so fun to go and eat with them, Kendall and the babies love all the attention from the "big kids." Then he got to take in cupcakes to share with his friends in class. On Saturday Daddy made cinnamon rolls with green frosting yummy! We had 2 soccer games, luckily both within 15 minutes of each other, woohoo, then once again we had cupcakes with all his friends on his team. After soccer games we went to the pet store and surprised Kylor with his birthday gift...a bearded dragon. He has been wanting one for a long time so daddy convinced me that's what we needed and grandma & grandpa contributed for the cage. His name is Striker Viper......(there are several other names, but unfortunately they change regularly and I don't know them right now.) In the evening the fun began all over again when we were flooded with 7 very active boys, and 2 cute girls ! We roasted hot dogs, ate way to much cake and ice cream, and opened presents. It was a busy, but very fun day! I was definitely happy to be done with all the cupcake making, at least for a month or so!
Happy birthday to our big boy Kylor - we love you lots!

Praying with heavy hearts.....

Our hearts are very heavy tonight, as we grieve with the rest of the world in the loss of our very brave soldiers. We were stationed at Fort Hood, for 4 wonderful years. We loved the army life, 1st Cavalry Division, , as well as our fiends and church family there. Our oldest son was born on post. There are no words to describe being part of the Army. We were family and everyone looked out for each other, that's how it is supposed to be. We are hurting for the soldiers lives that were lost, as well as the families. God is a God of love, and I know that He is saddened also. This event was a violent reminder that none of us get to choose how we will die in this world, but we do get to choose how we live. may the God of peace and love fill us so completely that we can't help but tell everyone about Him. Hope that you will take some extra time to pray for the families impacted by the shootings.

2 Ninjas, Dorothy, Cowardly Lion & Scarecrow

So the Wizard of Oz was a hit, we definitely had the cutest Dorothy, Lion & Scarecrow ever, but the big boys would not humor me a dress the Tin Man and the Wizard. Kylor said that there were probably ninjas in the Wizard of Oz, "just the kind that you don't see" I think that he was pulling my leg, not sure, but I do not remember ninjas in the story. Oh well at least I have a few more years of dressing the little ones up, before I am taken over by all things super hero, and boy themed, at least I will always have one little princess, I hope?????

Candyland 2009

Our church had its annual fall outreach called Candy land. The kids had so much fun, they ran in every direction, and kept daddy & mommy running all night too. Kendall was opened up to a whole new world of candy, she didn't know there were places that gave you candy just because you are so cute....she played it up. She did play some games, to humor the workers then helped herself to the candy. The big boys were so busy the whole night, that I think we saw them 2 times, their bags of candy must have been over 5 pounds. As for the babies, they definitely like suckers, you can roll them in dirt, or hit sister with them, or even save it in you hair for later.

Around Here...

Life is never dull around here, if someone is not sick, there is usually something else going one. The excitement never ends. Kaden broke is arm, and Kyson we thought broke is nose, but turned out that he just cut it pretty bad. Kaden either broke is arm wrestling with his brother or playing soccer. We are not sure which one, and Kyson fell out of the pot that he loves to sit in, onto the whiskey barrel. As I said never a dull moment. They keep us running all the time. I am thinking that bubble wrap may be a good investment for the kiddos....

Pumpkin carving...

Four carved pumpkins, and no mess. One of the benefits to living in the desert is that we can carve pumpkins mid-day, outside in t-shirts, and leave the mess outside, YAHOO. The big kids had a blast carving (or at least designing) their pumpkins, daddy carved and they cleaned every last seed out. I will definitely be busy cooking pumpkin, and roasting seeds for a while.

Samson & Jonah

Kaden & Kylor dressed up for Bible Heroes night at AWANA, Kaden was the prophet Jonah, and Kylor was super strong Samson of course. We had lots of fun making costumes, and learning all about their heroes.

Look what I grew...

Not much grows around here, but this sure was a cute little thing that popped up in the pot!
