My favorite things...

I love when my babies laugh....

My favorite things...

I love holiday baking...fantasy fudge a favorite in our family...

Complete randomness....

I love the fact that our tree is so random, yet one can easily tell what everyones likes are. It is not to often that you see Starbucks, Yoda, Snow white, a Storm Trooper, and baby ornaments all share the same space, but it works wonderfully on our tree! Love it!!!

Many hands make light work?

I don't think when John Heywood wrote that quote he had kids, if I were to write it I would say many hands make much work! What a blast to decorate our tree, the big boys are seasoned professionals, and Kendall believes she is the expert. Her style is to clump all ornaments on one little branch. At one time the branch stood tall, now it clings to the floor.

A strange glow..

The Christmas lights were a big hit for the babies....you know you want to try this too...

The trees new home...

In it comes, it sure was not as big in the forest as it was in our living room. I love it, it is the most beautiful tree yet.

What a bunch...

So many little Dunlaps on the log, Big Papa & Memaw, we are only missing the dog....

Timber...down it comes...

We sawed and sawed (actually they sawed and sawed while we cheered)...and down it came!

The cheering section....

Not quite sure whats going on, but it sure is fun...

This is what I wanted......

So here is the object of my affection. It was a little taller than our 10' 8" maximum roof clearance, (only by about 25 feet) but it was so beautiful, and I knew it was created just for us. Can't you just almost see the sun beaming down on it? ...So the big strong hubby went to work.........

This is how we do it..

This is pretty much how we do Thanksgiving. I love, love, love our Thanksgiving family tradition. Each year we meet Big Papa & Memaw at the cabin, cook Thanksgiving dinner, and go Christmas tree hunting. So fun, and I love that the kids have such special memories to grow up with. Happy Thanksgiving to all!

I am Thankful for.....

I am oh so thankful for my two little monkeys. They keep me running from sun up to sun down...maybe that is why I am so far behind on my posts.
Kyson & Kelson came into the world like a tornado, it all happened so fast, was turbulent, and when it was all over we didn't know what had hit us. When they arrived 8 weeks early, had to stay in NICU and I couldn't take my babies home for 6 weeks I didn't think that there was anyway that I would survive this turbulent storm. I spent a lot of time praying, and seeking comfort in my Comforter. Just when I began to think I couldn't wait any longer for the twins to come home, I was admitted to the same hospital as them, and got to spend a week with my little guys. As I look back on that time, it seems like it was only a couple of days without them. They are such a blessing in our lives, they have stretched me more than I thought was humanly possible. Just when I had gotten this mothering thing sorta down, I had a curve ball thrown at me, that required me to learn a whole new ball game. Kyson is our little brute, he walks into the room, and just looks like he is ready to do some damage, he loves to throw bails, and kick them too, climbing to the highest point, and playing in dirt keeps him busy. He loves to cuddle, and give kisses, and loves to be the last one in the bath. He is quiet, and loves yogurt, marshmallows, bananas, and m&m's! Our little Kelson is the charmer. The big eyes, and sweet demeanor get ya every time. Everywhere Kelson goes he runs, he is super fast. He loves to play outside, and is usually leading the duo on exploratory missions. He says uh oh, mama, dada, and rambles on and on, he loves oranges, marshmallows, and cheese. He gives great kisses and love to hug his sister.
