Central park...

Kevin and I took a carriage ride through Central Park. It was so beautiful and we got to see most of the highlights from a cozy ride. We of course had to take pictures of the building were Ghostbusters was filmed as well as one of the oldest carousels still operating. Can you tell we have kids or what?

The City that never sleeps...

I had heard this saying so many times, and I think to fully appreciate that statement you must visit. New York City never slows down. People go and go, never stopping or slowing down, what a busy life. I am so thankful for the crazy life that we lead, but that we also have the opportunity to slow down, and catch our breath. I thought we were busy, I now have a new appreciation for "busy." We did manage to slow down long enough to take in the beautiful skyline of the city, and of course the green Empire State Building.

So many buildings...

We were awestruck by all the buildings, and the beautiful architecture. We spent most of our time with our heads looking up, sometimes we would have to look down just to stretch our necks back. I am not to sure about Starbucks making the cut for beautiful architecture, but Kevin seems to think that there is nothing more beautiful than a Starbucks Coffee Shop.

What a Beauty..

We really enjoyed walking around Liberty Island. It was so inspiring to see the Statue of Liberty, and continues to make us so thankful for the freedoms we have and the country we live in.

Just the two of us...

Just the two of us...what a strange concept for us. Kevin & I went to New York, for a Truth Project conference, and managed to fit in some sightseeing also. It was a new concept for us to travel without all 5 kiddos, and then to be totally alone. We had not been alone, since Kylor was around 3 (he is now almost 7). Kevin said that hospital stays do not count as alone time!!! Needless to say we had a wonderful time. We learned so much through the conference, and got to reconnect with each other. We have so many pictures to share, I now have to try to decide with ones to post...more to come!
