The day started out my most favorite way with all the kids in bed with me. Kevin gets up and changes diapers, and brings all the little ones in on our bed, then the big boys all come and join. It is such a wonderful time the babies always try to steal Kendall's cup, Kendall brings her sheet in and drinks her juice. Kaden always has some profound thing to say, or a question that boggles our brains so early in the morning, why does Kyson weigh so much, how big is a killer whale? Then there is Kylor, who is always making some sort of shooting sound, or brings in some weird bug. They all lay all over us, and I love it. Kaden told us today that we are lucky that our bed does not have wooden legs, because surely it would break with all of us on it. Then the day starts.........
Kevin leaves for church. I fed the babies, washed the babies, changed diapers, fixed cheerios with honey for Kaden, started to dry my hair, fixed cheerios with honey for Kendall, Tried to dry my hair again, loved on Kelson after bumping his head, went to dry my hair again, but stopped on the way to clean up the spilled milk on the table, gave Kendall more cheerios, started drying my hair, Kelson pulled the cord knocking everything off the counter, cleaned up the floor, Kyson shut the door, it got a little hot drying my hair, opened the door, Kylor wanted Cheerios with honey, fished object out of Kelson's mouth, went back to dry my hair, Kelson needed a diaper change, changed Kelson, got him dressed for church, cleaned up Kendalls spilled milk again, told Kylor to keep the grasshopper outside, went to dry my hair, unstuck Kyson from under the table, changed Kyson stinky diaper, got Kyson ready for church, made bottles, set to warm, got dressed for church, cleaned Kendall up from breakfast, changed again for church, fixed Kylor another bowl of cheerios, told Kylor to keep baby grasshoppers out of the house, helped Kaden with his math, went to finish drying my hair, its hopeless by this time, tried to fix hair, put babies down for nap, attempted to unload the dishwasher, helped Kylor get toy out of babies room, got Kendall dressed for church, put makeup on, told boys to get shoes on, fixed Kendalls hair, changed Kendall's diaper, helped Kaden find lost shoe, helped Kylor find matching socks, finished getting ready, changed Kendall's diaper again, took stinky diapers out to trash, got heat stroke, came back in, helped Kendall get shoes on, gather blankets and babies, packed diaper bag, filled bottles, got big boys in van, loaded Kendall in van, put diaper bag in car, woke Kelson up put him in van, woke Kyson up, put him in van, changed my shoes, loaded toys for church in van, put Zoe outside, put milk on counter away, grabbed cell phone, left for church @ 9:15 am. Whew we made it on time, imagine that!
As for the rest of the day, Kevin made sure that I was pampered and rested, I got to take a nap on the couch, with Diamondbacks in the background, Kyson pulling on the blanket, it was wonderful! We had a great fish taco night with all the trimmings, what a wonderful chef I married! Kevin was off again to church, and the boys and I cleaned up from dinner then they went to play catch outside, and Kendall swung! After baths, dessert, and bedtime hugs, the house is quiet, I love the silence but can't wait to do it all again tomorrow!
I am so thankful for the special mothers in our lives. Happy Mother's Day!
