We are all finally recuperating from this sickness that has had a hold on our home for almost 2 weeks now. We can all say that we are sick and tired of being sick and tired. The good news is that the weather is so beautiful and we can get out and enjoy it, as well as air out our home and hopefully rid our house of all sickness, not to mention I have a little OCD and have cleaned everything there is to clean in this house with the trusty Lysol disinfectant.
As for spring we spent several hours at home depot Saturday, "shopping" for plants. The big boys had a ball, they studied each plant, and talked to the helpful home depot man, and made their choices. Kaden chose lantana, allysum (which smells so good), and a strawberry plant; Kylor chose lavender, celosia, and mint. Kendall was just happy to have somewhere to run, as well as watch birds. It thrilled her to no end to get another block of bird food for our birdies. Planting was so much fun, and everyone got to get their hands (and whole body) dirty, some more than others - Kylor! We also planted some cantaloupe and butternut squash seeds that we have been saving in our garden. We even had a ladybug visit our newly planted flowers. Kendall wanted so badly to touch it, but just couldn't bring her little hands to do what her mind wanted. What fun it is to get outside, and enjoy each other while getting dirty.
