This was the first year that we made Resurrection day cookies. It was so fun, and made the Easter story come alive to all of us. We read the bible verses that went along with each step and ingredient and talked about what Jesus went through so that we could live eternally. We beat the nuts, as the soldiers beat Jesus body, then several steps later we sealed the tomb (oven), just as they sealed the tomb with Jesus. They used a giant rock, we used duct tape. It is such a special time of year, and we are so thankful that the boys understand why we celebrate Easter. We can't wait to make these cookie with Kendall, and the babies, very soon.
